An inspired choice by my partner to celebrate her birthday. Our first trip to Mystic was terrific. All the food was delicious – no leftovers, sadly. Several of us had the Jack Frost Fizz from the Christmas mocktail menu and others Sake, a Paper Crane, or soft drinks.
I had three small plates – Wafu Broccoli, Mini Chashu Don, and Kaarage (half order). All were really good. Others had Kaarage (full order), Chashu Pork Belly Don,.and my partner had the Spicy Miso (with a Ramen Egg naturally).
The staff really add to the upbeat positive vibe at Mystic. Paige was so friendly and helpful. We have several kids with dietary restrictions, and it always boosts a restaurant experience when the front of house staff and kitchen very obviously treat dietary restrictions as needs, not requests. Thanks, Paige!
Even on Monday evening visit, Mystic was packed over the dinner rush – a reservation would be a good idea.
